Sascha Lenz made his debut in the Goodyear FIA ETRC in 2013 with the SL Trucksport team at the Nürburgring. His early experiences ignited his passion for competition, leading to his participation in numerous races throughout 2014 and 2015, where he consistently scored points.
In 2016, Lenz embarked on a full season campaign, showcasing promising performances, particularly at the Red Bull Ring (two fourth places) and Most (third), as well as achieving his best result of second place at Zolder.
The following year, Sascha returned with his self-run MAN truck, enjoying a solid season that saw continuous improvement, highlighted by three podium finishes and a pole position in the final four race meetings.
Lenz was a model of consistency in his SL Trucksport MAN in the 2018 season. He did not only score his maiden win but was also the only driver to score points in each of the 32 encounters, ultimately securing a commendable fourth place in the standings.
His 2019 campaign started with a strong second place at Misano, followed by victories at the Hungaroring, Slovakiaring and Le Mans, along with four additional podium finishes, resulting in a fifth-place finish in the standings.
Despite the challenges of a shortened 2020 season, Lenz showed impressive form, securing a win and two podium finishes.
In 2021, Sascha had a strong season with four victories, positioning himself as a contender for the championship title. He couldn't quite take the battle to his rival Norbert Kiss and finished the season as Vice European Truck Racing Champion.
The battle for supremacy continued into the 2022 season, where Lenz engaged in a fierce battle with fellow countryman Jochen Hahn for the runner-up position in the Championship. The fight went all the way down to the wire, where Hahn had the upper-hand in the last race of the season, narrowly beating Lenz to second position overall.
Teaming up with Apollo Tyres for the 2023 season, Sascha Lenz debuted a striking new truck with a vibrant purple livery. Throughout the season, he engaged in thrilling on-track battles and remained in contention for second place alongside Hahn and Antonio Albacete, ultimately securing third place in the standings.
