A rising star in truck racing, Portuguese driver José Eduardo Rodrigues showcased his remarkable talent by transitioning from race-by-race appearances to a full-season commitment in the Goodyear FIA ETRC in 2023.

His inaugural full season was nothing short of spectacular, as he consistently demonstrated his skill on the track, often challenging the frontrunners. Notably, at the season opener in Misano, he made a remarkable climb from a sixth-place qualifying position to finish an impressive fourth overall.

Rodrigues's dominance was evident throughout the season, with an astounding 14 class victories, including a remarkable four out of four wins at Zolder. His stellar performance resulted in clinching the title in the fiercely contested Promoter's Cup class. Additionally, Rodrigues made history by becoming the first driver to secure the European Young Drivers’ Championship title in 2023.
