British truck racer Ryan Smith will compete in several rounds of this year’s FIA European Truck Racing Championship (FIA ETRC) with reigning champion squad OXXO Racing Team.
34 year-old Smith, who is a relative newcomer to truck racing having only started in 2014, has so far enjoyed success in both the Delphi British Truck Racing Championship - Division 2 and the FIA ETRC, where he made his debut last season at Spielberg.
Driving a MAN truck with a self-run team, Smith put in eye-catching FIA ETRC performances at Red Bull Ring and Nogaro in 2015.
Last season saw some mighty performances from Smith, including a podium at Red Bull Ring and then a breakthrough victory at Most.
The 2016 British champion is aiming to take in several more FIA ETRC rounds with the Hungarian team this year and will be intent on consolidating upon some excellent performances last season.
