New partners for FIA ETRC announced
EuroTransportMedia Verlags- und Veranstaltungs-GmbH (ETM Verlag), a commercial vehicle professional for 25 years, has been working with the new promotors of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship (FIA ETRC) since the start of the year to find series sponsors for the 2016 season.
Since 2007 ETM Verlag, the Stuttgart based multimedia-based publishing company has been successfully coordinating the marketing for the international ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix, Nürburgring, which is the major event of the series and they are looking to bring this experience to sponsorship activation in the FIA ETRC
With the appointment of new series promotors, the European Truck Racing Association (ETRA Promotion GmbH) by the FIA, the 2016 season is set to be the start of an exciting new era in European Truck Racing and an attractive commercial opportunity to a range of businesses, including trucking companies and the related industries.
ETM Verlag is acting on behalf of the ETRA Promotion GmbH to find and work championship sponsors. The FIA ETRC takes place over nine rounds in eight European Countries and attracts around 450,000 spectators over the season, which is comparable to the German Soccer League or the British Premier League on a match day. Global TV marketing, an official championship website and strong social media presence, along with a proactive media and PR strategy, provides additional awareness and publicity for series’ sponsors.
Through ETM’s consistent focus on the commercial vehicle market it has established outstanding contacts with customers from all over Europe as well as prominent sponsors for the FIA ETRC. Among these are the truck manufacturer Daimler and the fuel card provider UTA. Goodyear, Meritor and Borg Warner are prominent series sponsors of the FIA ETRC.

_wige is official timekeeping and audiovisual partner for FIA ETRC
The FIA European Truck Racing Championship and _wige group have announced a comprehensive partnership.
New championship promotor, ETRA Promotion GmbH have appointed _wige MEDIA AG, based in Cologne, Germany, as the official timekeeping services and audiovisual footage provider.
ETRA Promotion GmbH recently concluded a 3-year-contract with its subsidiaries _wige SOLUTIONS and _wige EDITORIAL (nürburgring.tv), including corresponding race technology and editorial services.
For _wige SOLUTIONS, it is the first mandate where they install a brand new timekeeping system that displays information and live timing pages in a more modern way and up-to-date layout. At the same time, the compact timekeeping hardware and additional equipment allows reduced logistic expenditure.
The _wige team from nürburgring.tv is on-site at each of the nine rounds of the FIA ETRC with a 10-man crew to produce a 26-minute international highlight package as well as a short news edit with four cameras, an unmanned aerial vehicle and twenty onboard cameras.
_wige MARKETING oversees the successful global distribution of these formats and has secured deals with close to 100 broadcasters in more than 220 territories to show the 2016 season highlights. Among them are top sports brands Fox Sports, beIN Sports, Sky Sports and Motors TV – the latter also showing the races of the Nürburgring Truck GP Live!
