What the drivers said on Sunday at the Nürburgring
Jochen Hahn – Team Hahn Racing | IVECO
"I had a contact with Antonio in Turn 5. It was a hard but fair action. I’m delighted to finish P1 here at the Nürbrugring."
Antonio Albacete – Truck Sport Lutz Bernau | MAN
"I had a very good start, but when we reached the esses, Jochen [Hahn] was on the inside, we made contact, I went off into the gravel and then I lost the positions to Jochen and to Rene [Reinert]. After that, I tried to close up on them. In the end, I’m happy with the race. Second place is good for us, it means points. I hope I’ll be on the podium more often."
Rene Reinert – Reinert Racing | MAN
"Saturday was nothing, no points and big damage in the first race. Today is a new day and we started with a good qualifying session and then the start was also not too bad. I had a good fight with Norbi [Kiss] and went from fourth to third. Antonio was out wide and then I was next to him. We went together through the chicane, he blocked me a little bit and I could not turn left and I had a penalty for that. I’m not satisfied, but after all, it was a good race. Jochen was ahead, I was really focused and at some point, I was really close. I was hoping that he’ll make a mistake but he’s an old fox. In the end, third place is my first time on the podium here in a long time. I’m always very fast here but I have a bad luck."
Anthony Janiec – Lion Truck Racing | MAN
"A good result here at the Nürgburgring is really important because there’s a lot of spectators and it’s very competitive with so many German pilots competing here at their home event. First place at the Nurburgring is something magic. I’d like to say thank you to my team, my mechanics. It was a good weekend and a big fight with André and Adam."
Adam Lacko – Buggyra International Racing System | Freightliner
"I think it was a really nice race for the spectators because of all what was going on. In the opening stages of the race I tried to pass Anthony but it wasn’t possible. As a result, André went on to pass me, but I’m on the podium again, third place. I’m happy with this."
