GRAMMER Truck Cup Introduced for 2018 FIA ETRC Season
The FIA European Truck Racing Championship has today announced that GRAMMER AG will be the title partner of the formerly known Promoter’s Cup category.
The FIA ETRC announced earlier this week that GRAMMER AG had officially partnered with Europe’s most competitive and prestigious truck racing championship.
This years’ category for independent ‘CHROME’ categorised drivers will be known as the GRAMMER TRUCK CUP and feature the same structure which saw it become such a popular ‘race within a race’ when it was introduced in 2017.
As a platform to test and further develop talent in the FIA ETRC the GRAMMER TRUCK CUP will become an ever more important event in this years’ championship which recently saw the biggest entry confirmed in over a decade.
“The partnership with FIA ETRC impressively supplements our truck activities and the launch of our latest ‘Roadtiger’ retrofit seat generation for trucks,” said Ralf Hoppe, Grammer AG’s press officer.
“We are proud to be able to share in the enthusiasm for truck races and wish all the participants in the “GRAMMER TRUCK CUP” a fierce but fair competition.
“We are looking forward to congratulating the ultimate GRAMMER TRUCK CUP champion at the final race on the Circuito del Jarama in San Sebastián, Spain.”
Speaking of the new partnership which will see GRAMMER become the title partners for a flourishing category with the FIA ETRC, director of the European Truck Racing Association, Georg Fuchs said: “We are highly delighted to welcome GRAMMER as title partners for the new ‘race within a race’ initiative which proved such a great success last season.
“There is already a real feel-good factor to 2018 as we recently announced the biggest grid for over a decade.
“Within this grid we will see new stars emerging and I am sure a great fight between new faces and also some experienced drivers too. GRAMMER’s support to this category gives an added boost as we head to Misano where the 2018 season will kick-off with four spectacular races.”
