Racing, Entertainment & Industry
The appetite for truck racing on the Iberian peninsula is considerable and Jarama has been the home of it for many years. Thousands of passionate fans populate the banks around the famous Spanish track.
Jarama, like Zolder, is a tight circuit which challenges the brakes and tyres of the FIA European Truck Racing entrants.
One man who is always the centre of attention at Jarama is three-times champions Antonio Albacete. A Madrid native, Albacete is one of the living legends of European truck racing and returns in 2017 with the Truck Sport Lutz Bernau team.
Jochen Hahn edged closer to the 2016 title with a duo of wins while Adam Lacko and Anthony Janiec took the other victories.
In 2017 Antonio Albacete was the toast of his home circuit as he claimed two victories in his Trucksport Lutz Bernau MAN. Norbert Kiss and David Vrsecky took the other wins.
Last season witnessed Jochen Hahn and Rene Reinert make it a German clean sweep with two wins each.
2019 is set to feature all-new attractions with a new promoter of the event.
FactsGet set for a weekend of action-packed racing at the Circuito del Jarama
These giants of motor racing, each weighing in at around 5.5 tonnes, take to the track once more and the sight of 15+ of these monsters thundering around this historic circuit is certainly something to see, hear and smell!
It is little wonder that this form of sport where heavy practical commercial vehicles meet motor racing of the highest standard has such a massive fan following, second only to Formula One on the circuits of Europe.
The Spanish festival of truck racing is the final round of the 2019 FIA European Truck Racing Championship (FIA ETRC), which kicked off over five months ago at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
Once again fans can look forward to two days of exciting racing with a full grid of trucks set to do battle once more.
There will be huge local interest with Antonio Albacete enjoying a successful 2018 so far in his Truck Sport Bernau team run MAN.
Entertainment & Industry
Located at the heart of the truck racing paddock; the FIA ETRC fan village is developing into a real hub for race-goers to gather and it provides some great opportunities to get up close and personal with the drivers; including the very popular autograph sessions.
A local compere will guide you through the various activities taking place and there is a great atmosphere with music, entertainment and giveaways.
The fan village contains a seating area for you to relax and enjoy some food and drink, along with information and display areas about various aspects of truck racing including from the official series partners Goodyear, Mercedes Trucks, Krone, HS Schoch and Meritor.
There are fun activities for visitors including the ever popular Table Soccer and Slotcar racing, both sponsored by championship partner, Goodyear – look out for FIA ETRC drivers taking time out of their busy schedule to have a go on the games.
A key attraction in all of the 2019 FIA ETRC paddocks is the transport and commercial vehicle industry display areas where you can find exhibits by truck companies and related equipment manufacturers.
The championship provides an excellent marketing and networking opportunity, along with the chance to interact with logistics professionals.
Activities for Children
An FIA ETRC event always has a packed programme of activities for children and Jarama is no exception.
Jarama will be hosting a collection of these iconic motorcycles to delight petrolheads of all ages.
Over the weekend selected motorbikes will be presented in the infield of the track.
Decorated trucks display
Once again the FIA ETRC entertainment package will also feature a display of decorated trucks planned by the Event Organiser, showcasing the stunning artwork and attention to detail that enthusiasts have on their trucks.
A must see area for truck fans of all ages.
The Event Organisers have organised a VIP lounge offering the ideal surroundings for transportation and trucking companies to meet customers, business partners and employees.
