The Le Mans circuit Bugatti circuit in central west France is one of the most famous facilitiers in racing.
The Bugatti circuit plays host to the penulatimate race of the 2017 season where several championship battles are likely still to be resolved.
The track itself takes in several famous elements of the classic La Sarthe track, including the pit straight and the crest over the famous bridge after the first corner.
2016 saw Jochen Hahn secure a fourth title after winning the first race and ensuring his name was written in to the record books. Steffi Halm took two wins to finish off her stellar 2016 campaign.
The crowd also witnessed a spectacular startline accident when several trucks became entangled as they took the rolling start!
Last season Halm again took a victory in race one while Norbert Kiss, eventual champion Lacko and Gerd Korber also triumphed.
Entertainment & Industry
Located at the heart of the truck racing paddock; the FIA ETRC fan village is developing into a real hub for race-goers to gather and it provides some great opportunities to get up close and personal with the drivers; including the very popular autograph sessions.
A local compere will guide you through the various activities taking place and there is a great atmosphere with music, entertainment and giveaways.
The fan village contains a seating area for you to relax and enjoy some food and drink, along with information and display areas about various aspects of truck racing including from the official series partners Goodyear, Mercedes Trucks, Krone, HS Schoch and Meritor.
There are fun activities for visitors including the ever popular Table Soccer and Slotcar racing, both sponsored by championship partner, Goodyear – look out for FIA ETRC drivers taking time out of their busy schedule to have a go on the games.
A key attraction in all of the 2016 FIA ETRC paddocks is the transport and commercial vehicle industry display areas where you can find exhibits by truck companies and related equipment manufacturers.
The championship provides an excellent marketing and networking opportunity, along with the chance to interact with logistics professionals.
The truck industry area will have a strong presence from the big makers of trucks, along with official shops, entertainment, displays and information about tractors, tyres, on-board computers, safety, oil and tuning.
Activities for Children
An FIA ETRC event always has a packed programme of activities for children and Le Mans is no exception.
Head to the Kid’s Village for bouncy castles, tree climbing, face painting, football and much much, more
Once again the spectacular FranceRoutes Truck Show, in partnership with Renault Trucks will be taking place over the race weekend.
Fans can look forward to seeing around 200 vehicles, from all over France, descending on the circuit to create an impressive display of automative art on tractor units, straight trucks, semis, American giants and vintage vehicles.
The highlight will be two truck parades around the historic Le Mans circuit
Get on down to the Good Ol’ American village where you can take part in a whole range of activities including country dancing, listen to a folk band, have a look round a Trikes and Airstream exhibition and have a play with radio-controlled US Trucks.
The Place du Village
This is the place to go for entertainment for all ages. Here you will find a funfair, radio controlled trucks, a truck exposition, pom pom and Salsa & Hip Hop dance displays and even Zumba
Night time at Le Mans
The entertainment doesn’t stop when the sun goes down on the Saturday evening. From 18:00 there will be plenty of reason to head for the grandstands for a programme of entertainment including the truck parade, mechanic events and stunt displays.
This will be followed by an impressive firework displays and if you still aren’t ready for bed, you can head over to the circuit dance floor and open air nightclub.
Show Case “Collectif Métissé” and DJ set
Truck manufacturer, Iveco is laying on musical entertainment at the Circuit’s dance floor which starts wuith a concert by the “Collectif Métissé”, followed by a DJ playing mix of disco, pop, rock and dance, with something for everyone. Get your dancing shoes on, you’re in for a mega party!
